Volleyball Kids is your guide to volleyball programs for kids in Mississauga,  Brampton,  Oakville,  Milton and Etobicoke

Pakmen Volleyball is a Mississauga based youth volleyball club which offers programs for boys and girls, 6 to 18 years, and of all skill levels. Players in our house league programs are taught by the same coaches who coach our 5-time National Champion rep teams.

Spikes is a learn-to-play program for boys and girls 6 to 13 years old. Youth who participate in SPIKES will learn the basics of volleyball: forearm and overhead passing, hitting, serving, and basic team movement. Depending on age, game play is modified to ensure that every athlete is involved with each play, ensuring maximum learning. Also, the game environment is modified to increase early success, improving the enjoyability and fun factor for all involved.

The Pakmen Champions League is for intermediate players in grades 5 & 6 and intermediate + advanced players in grades7 to 8 and 9 to 12 . Each weekly session is 1.5 hours in length and includes 45 minutes of instruction and drills followed by 45 minutes playing games of '5 on 5' which provides players maximum 'touches' and longer rallies.

Gettn’ Better is for serious middle / high school players and rep players who understand the path to volleyball greatness requires tens of thousands of quality ‘touches’. Gettn’ Better will provide players with 500 quality ‘touches’ in two hours of purposeful practice each week. Players will get three times more quality ‘touches’ each session than they do in a regular high school or rep team practice.

This high performance training program is for the best female players, from grades 7 -9, in the GTA and begins in September 2011, running though till the middle of June 2012. Our partners include the OVA and Nike. This program will consist of 36 best high school players in the GTA, not playing rep volleyball. To ensure only the best players are in the league, players must either be currently on a school team (the school coach must certify by signing the school team verification form) or attend a tryout, which will be held at Mississauga Secondary School.

Learn the skills and tactics used on the sand @ The Pakmen Boot Camp. This intermediate to advanced beach program is for volleyball athletes who wish to develop 2 on 2 game and are currently in grades 7 - 12. The ability to control the 1st pass and set is required to get the maximum benefits from this program. The program will focus on tactics, positioning, offensive and defensive strategies, while practicing and refining existing skills, as well as learning new ones.

The Pakmen Volleyball Camp is a combination of beach volleyball and indoor volleyball. The camp is right for all skill levels with the aim of developing volleyballl skills, promoting fitness and having fun! Learn the basic techniques and tactics needed for beach volleyball and continue improving your indoor volleyball skills. Players will be divided into groups according to their age and skill level. This program is for players between the ages of 7 and 14 years old.

The Pakmen Development League teaches the skills and tactics of volleyball with a mix of instruction, drills and competiton.  The program is for girls in grades 5 - 8 who have already had some exposure to the game (e.g. Spikes, played at school, etc). Every effort is made to place friends on the same team.  Each weekly session is 1.5 hours in length and includes 30-40 minutes of instruction and drills, and two 25-minute games. Everyone receives a Pakmen Game Jersey.   The 10-week program includes playoffs and a championship final on the last day.

This high performance-training program is for high school girls who are 'starters' on their school volleyball team. Training takes place under the guidance of top National and Provincial Champion rep volleyball coaches.  Players are divided into 6 teams and compete against each other on a regular basis.
 Sessions run throughout the school year on Sunday evenings at Mississauga Secondary School.

We are pleased to offer Pakmen Rep teams for competitive players who want the challenge of training with peers with similar abilities and competing in Ontario Volleyball Association (OVA) and Volleyball Canada tournaments and championships. This year, we are proud to add on another new girls team, bringing our count to 10 teams, which includes 6 boys teams & 4 girls teams.  Our teams have players from many different schools, different towns, and we are Canada's most diverse volleyball club!
